Natty Role, BA Biology
Teacher - Science
Natty graduated from Whitman College with a bachelor of arts in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry. Immediately after college, he spent several years as a ski instructor and whitewater raft guide before pursuing a full-time career as a competitive, professional whitewater kayaker- temporarily removing him from the Northwest as he followed the professional kayaking circuit around the globe. A desire to teach, combined with his passion for traveling and kayaking, eventually led him to a teaching and coaching position at a traveling high school for aspiring competitive kayakers (which he enjoyed for several years). After years of semi-nomadic living and working, Natty earned his teaching certificate through Lewis Clark State College and settled down in Clark Fork, Idaho to teach Science at Monarch School.
